Muscle Memory

Kou Studios - 2025

Muscle Memory features figurative paintings by Emmalyn Gibson, Georgina Hawitt, and Hailey Spearn that delve into the ways memory becomes embedded in the body over time. Centered on themes of conscious and unconscious recollection, monologue, and metaphor, the exhibition creates a compelling conversation about how we carry, process, and express memory. It invites viewers to consider not only what is remembered, but how remembering shapes the self.
